Were you a member of the Boys Club or the Boys & Girls Club in Schenectady, Rotterdam, Mont Pleasant, Carman, Craig Street when you were a kid? This could have been at anytime from 1936 to the present time. Maybe you live in the area now but, were a member of a Club in another city. We would like to hear from you.

Were you a WILDCAT? This was the original gang of boys who became our first members. Do you remember the trips to Yankees Stadium, overnights at Camp Lovejoy or great times with Rock Jenkins, Paul "Chief" Young or Vince Mastrofrancisco? Did you attend the Club on Front Street, Green Street, 411 Union Street or the First Methodist Church in Rotterdam? How about Camp Lovejoy? Did you hike to the caves, catch your first fish or build your own camp site? Were you chosen as "Golden Boy," "Boy or Girl of the Year," or "Youth of the Year." Let us know what year.

"I have recently signed my son and nephew up for club memberships and it brought back so many memories. Of course my son, Tyler and nephew, Damir are going to be going to the Yates Village Clubhouse. I belonged to the Mont Pleasant Club. I have so many great memories. I remember Paul being the director. I remember going hiking and the sleep overs. I remember the talent shows and plays we did that aired on Channel 16 every two weeks. I remember the sports we played and the awards ceremonies we had. I actually still have most of my trophies. I was an MVP and Youth of the Year. I also worked at Camp Lovejoy as a CIT and a Counselor. The boys club made my youth. I basically live at the club. I hated having to go home for dinner only to return an hour later. I do not think I could fit all of my memories in this email but I wanted to let you know that it was some of the best times of my youth. I was able to do many things thanks to the club. I know my son will enjoy it as much as I did. I am now a single mother who has served 16 years in the Army Reserves and still continues to serve. I spent 15 months deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. I am currently going back to school, online, and work for an Army maintenance shop. I look forward to helping out any way that I can at the club." - Melissa Howland
