Each Clubhouse has a schedule that is designed for the community it serves.  Check with each Clubhouse, listed at left, for their schedule.  You may go to "Program & Services"  for general information about ouir programs.  Do you have any other after-school programs?  Yes - After school opportunities are offered at Pleasant Valley, Martin Luther King and Woodlawn Elementary Schools.  We are also on-site at Washington Irving Educationa Center on Mumford Street. How much does it cost to join the Boys & Girls Club?  $5.00 per year at Yates, Steinmetz, Mont Pleasant & Craig Street.  Rotterdam is $10.00   That's all!! Okay BUT, how much does it cost, per child, to operate yearly?  It costs the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady approximately $300-400 per member per year.  Much of our support comes from public donations, grants and contracted services.     You have a Club in Gloversville that opened in 2008.  Who can go there? Any child living in Fulton County or surrounding areas can use our Gloversville Clubhouse.  Just stop in and sign up. We will take your membership card from any Club even if it is from Wisconsin or Weisbaden, Germany. I don't live in Rotterdam so what Club can I join?  You can join any Clubhouse that you would like.  It does not matter if you live in the Town of Rotterdam, the City of Schenectady or if you live outside the County of Schenectady.  I live in Schenectady am I able to join the Rotterdam Boys & Girls Club? Yes, you may join any Clubhouse that you would like.   Do I have to join another Clubhouse if I want to particpate in a program that is not offered at mine?  NO.  Just bring your membership card from your Club.  That is your ticket to be included.    Who can join and what are the requirements?  Anyone ages 6 through 20 can join any of the Boys & Girls Clubs in Schenectady County.  A completed Membership Application, with your fee, is all that is required.  If you are a member of another Boys & Girls Club, anywhere in the world, whether it is Stuttgart, Germany or Albequerque, New Mexico, your membership card is good at any and all of our Clubhouses in Schenectady & Fulton Counties. Just bring your membership card.   What is there to do? See the "Programs and Services" Section. Why would I want to join?  To make new friends, learn new skills, get a job, learn Tae Kwon Do, learn to swim, learn how to use a computer, swim, go to day camp, just spend some time having FUN!  How many members do you have?  We have more than 4500 members.  We serve more than 8000 children annually.  Do you rent your facilities? Yes we do.  From birthday parties and banquets to wedding receptions and graduation parties, we are able to rent our facilities.  We have meeting space, gymnasiums, an indoor pool; Camp Lovejoy outdoor pool and grounds and more.
