LOVEJOY in the Helderberg Mountains, 1158 Feet above sea level Click Here for Registration Information and updated bus information!  Click Here for a Menu   SUMMER 2009 PICTURES Camp Lovejoy is located in the Town of Knox in the Helderberg Mountains.  Acquired in 1957 with a generous contribution from Jesse R. Lovejoy, the grounds include a swimming pool, ponds, hiking trails, an outdoor amphitheatre, arts and crafts building, picnic pavillions, playing fields and an adventure ropes course. The 2010 summer session begins on June 28 and continues until August 13.

	Pictured is the afternoon recreational swim.  Mornings sessions, in the pool, are for instructional swimming and safety programs.  All children are tested before they are allowed in the swimming pool. All receive lessons.
Project Adventure affords campers opportunities to work in teams, make decisions, plan ahead and learn to TRUST one another.  The course offers 8 elements that also challange a campers's agility and strength. Pictured is the 24' wall campers can attempt after careful instruction and practice on the 12 foot wall.
	Our Dae B. Gillespie Amphitheatre is the daily site for summer productions involving dancing, singing favorite tunes and skits.  The Camp Lovejoy talent show is attended by all campers and loud applause can always be heard throughout the 50 acre Campground.
