In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision.  Young people need adults, who care about them, in their lives. They need safe places to go and a healthy start to life.  Children also need opportunties to serve their community and marketable skills for future success.  These are the Core Beliefs of Boys & Girls Clubs of America and they are adapted by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenecady to  include the 5 Promises of America's Promise - The Alliance for Youth.
