Teen Empowerment and Mentoring Program (TEAM)

Schenectady High School students and mentors have fun together by participating in activities they both enjoy. Matches spend time shooting hoops, making jewelry, playing music, researching a college, or simply talking.

TEAM is flexible. We know our volunteers are busy, so we only ask for 4 hours per month. Students and mentors can meet anytime between 3:30pm - 8:00pm, Monday through Thursday.

Positive adult role models help teens:

  • Build confidence
  • Set and achieve goals
  • Achieve academic success

The TEAM Program is successful because we provide:

  • Ongoing Support
  • New Mentor and Ongoing Trainings
  • Fun, Free Monthly Field Trips & Special Events
  • Community service opportunities
  • Academic Assistance
  • College Preparation
  • Career Exploration
  • Interactive group curriculum
