Teen Empowerment and Mentoring Program (TEAM)

The TEAM Program matches Schenectady High School students with caring positive adult mentors from the community in one on one relationships. Student and mentor matches have fun together by participating in activities they both enjoy. Matches spend time shooting hoops, making jewelry, playing music, researching a college, or simply talking.

Matches meet once a week anytime between 3:30pm and 7:00pm, Monday through Thursday at the high school or one of our clubhouses.

TEAM provides mentors with the support and resouces you need in order to have a meaningful mentoring experience:

  • Training
  • Activity ideas and supplies
  • Weekly checks-ins with students, parents and mentors
  • Mentor networking and support events

To learn more about our program and how you can be a mentor to a Schenectady teen, please call TEAM at 518-881-3929 or email at mentor@bgcschenectady.org.
