We are here for the youth in Schenectady all summer long!

Even though your local Clubhouse is not running normal programming, there's sure to be a

summer program close to you!

SPARC

SPARC 2023 - Summer Program at

the Rotterdam Club

This year’s program runs for eight weeks beginning Monday, June 26th and ending Friday, August 18th.

 

(Closed on Friday, July 4th in recognition of Independence Day)

 

S.P.A.R.C. is a day camp for youth ages 6-13.
All campers will participate in daily activities with a focus on our special themed weeks. Campers will enjoy a wide rang
e of activities including sports, arts & crafts, physical fitness challenges, fun outdoor water games and much more.

 

Weekly Program Fees

Regular Monday- Friday

$75 per week for one child

$60 per week for second child

$40 per week for each additional child

SPARC Early Care

8 am - 9 am

$25/wk per child

 

We do NOT reserve enrollment for unpaid weeks. By not paying in full for the weeks you need, be advised that the week may fill and your child will not be able to attend.*

SPARC Information:
What does my camper(s) day look like at camp?

Each day at SPARC is enriched with structured activities around various program areas such as, STEAM, Fine Arts, Sports, Gardening, and Theatre.
 

Do I need to pack a lunch?

Yes, all campers will need to bring their own lunch We are a nut free facility. Due to heat it is recommended that you pack a lunch that does not need to stay cold. We do not provide refrigeration. It is also recommended that you pack a water bottle that can be refilled. *No camper will be allowed to leave the premises to purchase a lunch.*


What to bring daily?

Campers should wear socks and sneakers. Campers transition between being indoors and outdoors and should dress accordingly. Campers should have a backpack to hold all their personal belongings, including a water bottle, snacks (nut free please) and a change of clothes. We have cubbies in which their backpacks will be stored.


What not to bring: NO weapons of any kind, cell phones, electronic devices, glass containers, personal items, valuables or large amounts of money.

Open Swim Hours:

Monday - Friday from 12:30pm-6:30pm. 

Saturdays & Sundays 12:00pm-6:00pm.

All swimmers ages 18+ must have a photo ID

All swimmers ages 0-5  must have an adult swimmer in the water with them. All swimmers ages 6-10 must have an adult in the pool area, on deck with them. Any swimmers requiring a flotation device must have an adult in the water with them.

Wrap-around Service Hours:

Monday- Friday 11:00am-5:00pm

We will provide recreational/educational opportunities for youth to enjoy by involving them in constructive programs and activities, encouraging them to interact positively with others, develop significant adult relationships and acquire skills. To help to increase their reading skills and educational success we will encourage youth to complete at least five books over the summer. Youth will participate in reading club, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, sports clinics, field games, healthy habits nutrition education, character programs, education enrichment programs, science projects, yoga, nature walks, high yield learning games and themed weeks throughout the summer. Daily clean-ups will be scheduled to keep the parks clean and free of debris.

We will offer family activities such as an ice cream social, BBQ and final awards celebration to encourage family bonding.  Summer lunch program is provided by SICM at each site Monday - Friday. For more information call Amanda Boyle or Alyssa Bailey at 518-374-4714.
