Over half the children residing in the city of Schenectady are living below the federal poverty line and are suffering through no fault of their own. A summer at Camp Lovejoy bring happiness, hope and cherished summer memories to the kids who need it most!

Camp Changes Lives

Each morning for seven weeks, buses roll into the campgrounds and more than 200 inner-city youth stream down the steps and are greeted by smiling, caring Camp Counselors. Camp Lovejoy is a safe place for youth to be during the summer months, but it is so much more than that.

Camp Lovejoy provides a place for kids to be themselves, nurture their talents, make friends, receive daily nutrition, develop strong character, achieve goals, and strive to be their very best! Camp Lovejoy is a special place where one summer can change a life forever.
