2020 Mary Ann Hogan Memorial Scholarship Fund has been awarded to Thalia Maynor, our 2018-2019 Youth

Please join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady in congratulating Thalia Maynor who was awarded the 2020 Mary Ann Hogan Memorial Scholarship, which was announced at the May 20 Board of Directors Virtual Annual Meeting. Thalia is graduating from Schenectady High School this year with a 3.27 GPA and is ranked 68 out of a class of 604 students. She is planning to attend SUNY in the Fall and will be majoring in Chemical Engineering – a passion introduced to her through a career program at the Steinmetz Boys & Girls Club! May the 4th Be With You Car Parade

On Monday, May 4th the Rotterdam Club, an affiliate of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady, held a May the 4th Be With You Car Parade. The staff really miss their families and wanted to do something to celebrate hope with the community. Staff gathered outside of the Club at safe distances and families came through in their vehicles in a ‘parade route’ in the parking lot! Staff loved the opportunity to see their families and wanted families to know that the Boys & Girls Clubs are still here providing encouragement, virtual programming, Grab & Go meals and much-needed support during this unprecedented time.
